Josiah Mutambiranwa

Josiah Mutambiranwa is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a Senior Consultant of SustainAbility Solutions Africa (SSA), a specialist consulting firm that assists international and local donors, foundations and their recipients with internal audit services, training, financial management, sustainability, strengthening and special purpose audits.  Prior to joining SSA, he worked for SABMiller for 5 years as a Regional Internal Auditor, responsible for internal audit functions for SABMiller business operations in Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland, Malawi, Mayotte and Comoros. He was also responsible for the coordination of the risk management process in the businesses. He has more than 15 years internal audit and risk and control advisory experience within the manufacturing, financial and consultancy sectors. Prior to engaging in internal audit, he had an accounting role with a subsidiary of an international beverage manufacturing company for 2 years.

Mr Mutambiranwa’s consultancies have included project management, compliance audits, financial audits, process audits, forensic investigations, risk & control assessments and conducting risk management workshops.

Marianze Roux

Marianze Roux is a Manager with over eight years of experience in internal audit, process improvement, risk management and compliance in the private sector. She has supported clients by assessing the tone and risk management culture as well as evaluating and reporting on the effectiveness and efficiency of the implementation of management policies. Furthermore, she has conducted reviews of internal controls implemented by management and made recommendations to improve the overall internal control environment and the operational performance of the organization as a whole.

Marianze previously worked in the Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance practice of KPMG in Johannesburg where her responsibilities included planning, executing and reporting on the results of internal audits across multiple industries. Marianze has also worked in sub-contractor capacity with KPMG LLP, McLean, USA as a Manager at one of KPMG’s anchor clients as part of an outsourced team of over 40 members, where she was responsible for evaluating Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) related to Sarbanes Oxley Compliance (SOX) at one of the largest Government Sponsored Enterprises and public companies in the USA (Financial Services Industry, Fortune 500). Most recently, Marianze was the Manager on an outsourced internal audit client, responsible for relationship management, developing audit methodologies and templates, building audit plans and executing audits.

Marianze is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). She completed her Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Internal Audit at the University of Pretoria.

Doug Franke

Doug Franke is a US CPA and the Managing Director/Partner of SustainAbility Solutions Africa, a specialist consulting firm that assists international and local donors, foundations and their recipients with training, financial management, internal controls, sustainability, strengthening and special purpose audits. Prior to founding SSA/SSPC he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers for 25 years serving 12 years as the International Development Aid Partner in Southern Africa. His financial management consulting experience has extended world-wide, having been Project Director and Chief of Party on numerous engagements throughout Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Australia and the U.S. His clients have included private and public sector entities including CDC, USAID, DFID, RNE, SIDA, The Global Fund, CIDA, the World Bank, OECF, Norwegian Red Cross, and JAIDO as well as individual governments.

Mr Franke's consultancies have included project management and financial audits, US Government-related training (both in-house and open courses), systems design and implementation, needs assessments, staffing, and personnel utilisation studies, property control and logistics, and IT financial management systems. He served as President from 2009-2011 and continues to sit on the board as an Exco member of the American Chamber of Commerce of South Africa. For three years he chaired the Amcham Health and Wellness committee. He also serves on the Risk and Audit committees. He served two years as Vice Chairman of the South African Institute of Directors (IOD) Sustainable Development Committee. He served as Chairman of the Board of Right to Care, South Africa’s largest NGO ART provider, for two years. He serves on the Finance Committee of the American International School of Johannesburg. He is the Managing Partner of a Michigan-based Public Accounting firm (SSPC) which focuses on performing US Government Yellow Book audits and training for overseas aid recipients.
